The first months of 2017 have provided a whirlwind of activity for the Fumarolo Law Office. A move to a different downtown location, the creation of a new website, another victory at the Indiana Supreme Court, and oral argument before the Indiana Court of Appeals.
The office relocation occurred in mid-January. Under the guidance and planning of Marlo Business Service, 25 attorneys including myself entered a shared space arrangement (not a partnership association) and moved into the 5th floor of the iconic Lincoln Tower.
The new website will be used to host a variety of content including blog posts (like this one), links to things I deem noteworthy and provide an easy and confidential way to contact me. Please feel free to ask questions and I will respond in earnest with a career’s worth of legal experience.
The victory at the Indiana Supreme Court can be found at https://mycourts.in.gov/arguments/. In the decision, co-counsel, Roberta Renbarger, and I convinced the high court to reverse the trial court’s finding that our client’s children were children in need of services.
On April 18, 2017, I argued the case of Perry vs. State before the Indiana Court of Appeals. The oral argument was held at manchester University as a part of the Court of Appeals’ “Appeals on Wheels” program. I thought the argument went well and I anticipate the Court will make a decision, one way or the other, in about six weeks from this posting. Stay tuned.
That concludes Blog #1. Until next time, session adjourned.
